Default Are TR55's ever too hot for NA?

I am changing out plugs and wires to try and help out a top end misfire on the dyno. Motor is 11:1 and I had them gapped at .050 so i am going to close the gap to .045 but while I am pulling plugs out after 1,000 miles of use they seem almost to clean, I am by no means an expert at reading plugs and no there weren't any plug chops so they are going to look lean but these don't seem right and the ground strap also seems to be getting hotter than they have in the past...

I am running TR6's with my motor. Even they still show to be still a tad on the hot side from looking at the transition on the band. If I ran TR55's, most likely they would be much too hot.

glad I'm not the only one with this symptom I have a 12.5:1 383 and the plugs look just like that it doesn't have very many miles almost 60 though but should show some signs of carbon... its not tuned 100% yet so some if it might be a lean condition but I'm pretty sure its close I'll let you know if I figure anything out

i run the r5671a-8s on my motor, they do just fine. no reason to be afraid of a colder plug, especially if you're making some power/high compression. if i were you guys i'd ditch the extended tip plugs, and run a regular plug.

If there's a problem with the 55s I'd really like to know. I tightened the gap last year when I was searching for an issue with my engine. They are gapped a .035 with about 11.7 to 1 compression. I resolved the problem, so please let me know what spark plug or gap I need to run.

Just read the band on the plug. Look at the transition point and if its offset more towards the base, its on the hot side.

Haha Dude, I can't read a plug.

But I'll try. The electrode looks great. Light brown in coloration. But I'm not sure what the band is. Can you help explain a little?

I cant really tell from the top pic since its a little blurry, but If that's the timing mark I think I see, then its way too much....
