Default Whats the thinnest head gasket for 4.030 bore

need to raise my compression and i cant afford different pistons so this is kinda my only alternative lol

ive got the xfi 292 installed, having alot of other issues with ignition parts failing and whatnot so i havent really got to drive it to test out the power yet, but i know i need more compression, i still have to advance timing a little more, and fuel...needs. more. fuel. i have to get a bigger carb, or put alot bigger jets in it.

anyway. whats the thinnest head gasket they make, so far on summit ive seen a Cometic its a .027, but its says its for like a 4.110 bore and thats kinda throwing me off a lil bit.

thanks guys.

felpro 1094, it's a .015 shim gasket. It will slightly protrude into some coolant passages as it's a standard SBC gasket, easy to either drill them out or hit them with a dremel though.

nothing a little dremel time wont fix.

but what does this mean? for the 1094's.. "They have oversized wire rings that lock into receiver grooves which must be machined into the cylinder heads. Precise machining is critical to the success of these gaskets"

the 1094s have a pre flattened wire, they don't need receiver grooves.

yeah the fel pro 1094's dont need a grove cut..they must of mixed up them with another..i have a set sitting next to me..use the stock lt1 head gasket as a template an then just spray the 1094s with copper spray on each side..i also put a thin thin bead of copper gasket around the water holes an at the top of the head where the intake meets..tq down then bring up to temp and then back 1 head bolt of at a time and re tq them down..should have no problems at all after that.

Cometic will make the head gasket in any bore diameter you choose at no extra cost.
