If it is the same as my 98 TA then you take the t-tops off (assuming you have them) and there should be two screws i believe on the left and right side pillars that go down to the left and right sides of the dash pad. Take those screws out and the plastic pillars pop out. Then the dash basically pops out because it is held on by clips. Be VERY CAREFUL if you intend on putting the same dash pad back on because they are very brittle. I just yanked mine out because it was cracked and I was replacing it anyways.

thanks for the reply^

? are they brittle by design or do they get brittle because of being out in the sun?
my car just turn 42k miles but it has always been garage.

Usually it is from the sun that makes them that brittle but they are still pretty thin to begin with. My car is from the south so it saw plenty of sun. If you kept yours in a garage it should be fine but still be careful.

remove the pillar plastic on both sides.....2 screws at the top ...you can see them after you remove the t tops...then jus slowly pull them straight out....only 1 clip holds them in...then pull up on dash slowly.....unclip the security light in the middle of the dash and if you have 1.....the DRL sensor..they are both together....there are clips underneath on the bottom of the dash in the front and velcro in the rear....most likely the clips on the front will be broken where the dash plastic inserts into the clips...all of mine were.......i was gunna try to glue mine.....it was just cracked......but i later broke it in 2...so i sed puck it and bought a new 1..........GM still has em.......300$......just did it yesterday.....took 3 min to put the new 1 in..........me happy now
