Default Need some opinions...

I'm thinking about ditching my ported fast 90 for a Super Victor w/ 4500 flange and accudfab TB.

I have the car setup w/ a 408, Meaux Stage III LS6s, Solid roller(259/267 .705/702 on a 113+3). Its th400 w/ 2.75 first gear and gunna run a 9" w/ 3.90s and a 29" tire. I'm gunna spray about a 300 shot on the car.

I have the car set up to shift around 7,300 but from what I've been reading the fast isnt gunna cut it for this setup. I REALLY don't want to shift over about 7,500 but I believe this is gunna HAVE TO HAPPEN, especially going to a short runnered carb intake. Though the SV does appear to have a little longer runner than the VJr. I just need to find somebody to do the machine work

I'de love to be able to run something like the cary's intake but I can't afford something like that right now.

BTW the car is somewhat of a max effort street car, I'm getting rid of everything BUT a/c, which sounds dumb... but I'de like to hit up pump gas drags and cruising the coast and stuff and a/c is necessary for this kind of stuff!

Also when I purchased the fast 90 a couple years ago this was the best of the best.

Either one will work since you are going to have the 4150 mounting pad milled off and weld on a 4500 pad. With the size of the motor and the 7,500 rpm+ plans the Super might be the best. The Super has larger runners, but is 1 9/16" I think taller. Both can be ported to match your heads. And yes, they will wake your ride up after 6,800 rpms. You will need a cam with more overlap also to really use the single plane design.

yeah your right... I didnt notice that the super victor is not a 4500 series flange... which isnt that big of a deal though. I'm gunna give Allan a call monday morning on the camshaft stuff. IF its absolutely necessary to change the camshaft I'm not gunna do it... at least not right now. IF I have to go that far I'de like to go ahead and change heads to and go with a more aggressive camshaft.

Yeah, they are both 4150. The single plane will work with the cam you have and will probably rev out just fine, but to optimize the combination you'd need a single plane cam.
