Have an 01 Vette. Getting AFR 215 Heads. Do I need a FAST Intake?
What will it get me? How important is it? Just curious?
Which one do I get? Here is a picture of my set up. Looks liek I will need a lot fo parts and it will mess up my nitrous set up.
Want a plate anyway, BUT will the AFR 215's be OK without one for now?

you will be much happy with another intake & tb! does heads needs to breath more! don't be like another guy in the forum bought heads, cam, & headers and asking why he only dyno 417 he has a stock ls2 manifold witch they suck and doesn't feel like buying another intake!!

I get it, but then what about my Nitrous set up? That goes out the window and I need to figure out how to fix that which is more $$$. I assume once I get the TB it is going to be huge and the TNT ring won't fit.
Actually I need a Plate anyway becayse the TNT ring isn't that great. I have a NX Dual Nozzle Kit, but I am sure it is EZ to go to a single nozzle and use a Plate.

Thanks O2C5. Of course, I Would like to get one, but with heads, a new cam, and I just dropped $1K last month on geting some other stuff fixed it is just too much money. Especially with a new TB and then all the other stuff I would need liek fuel rail conversion kit. I don't want to spend the money if I don't 100% have to NOW. I am missing 20 hp which is great but I should be sitting pretty good as is.
Maybe later when I need to upgrade I will do it, but with the NEW AFR Awesome Heads (vs. my Patriots), A Bigger Cam my 234/240, and with adding the 100 wet shot, I will be be in good shape.

You could check the Classifieds there is always the used 90/90 can save a little money that way. And if you are doing an HC get the Fast Intake you going to be happy with the end results IMO!

Decided NOT to get onje for now. I am already dropping a lot of cash, AFR Heds, Cam, install, etc etc.
I just spent over a grand last month on something else so I am set for now.
I might look into it later, but with these new AFR Bad *** heads (as compared to my Patriots) the Bigger Cam, and new plugs etc etc I should be runnign really strong anyway. if I need some more oomph I'll hit the 100 Wet shot and go into HyperSpace.
I appreciate the responses!!!
