Other Special Events - Woodward Dream Cruise 2010 Aug 21

I was just wondering if anyone from here goes to it? Me & my brother are driving are cars from ontario. We are staying there from thursday to sunday. Is there an F body cruise or is anyone interested in getting together for a tour?

OP, try checking out the local Michigan F-Body website. They did a cruise and all parked together on Woodward last year.

Trying to cruise on Woodward the day of the Dream Cruise is pointless. The Street becomes a virtual parking lot.
Our Group hangs out on Woodward pretty much every weekend from April through October. But the 2 weeks before the Cruise the scene is off the hook. i will have the red 93 z28 up there along with a pro street 68 dart. maybe ill run across a few of you.

You guys should check out Back to Bricks in Flint one night... Crowds are less and in Downtown on the bricks they actually have the cars lined up for a car show. They cruise from Grand Blanc to Flint all week.

Ill be there. about a 5 hour drive for me, this will be my 2nd year, hope this one goes better than the first.

The two weeks leading up to the Dream Cruise are much better than the Cruise itself. Its nice when you can acutally drive. Go up to Pontiac (northern end of woodward). Not as much traffic, very lenient cops, lots of holeshots, burnouts, fun.

Agreed, we usually hang out at the Shell station the week leading up to the cruise and in the triangle in Pontiac on the weekend. Pontiac is a lot more entertaining because they pretty much let them do what ever they want, within reason. :lol:

We leave for Michigan Thursday for the 2 day "long haul". We will probably check out Flint this year too since it seems to be growing a lot.

Maybe we'll see some of you guys around, three cars to choose from this year. My 02 SS, dad's 79 Berlinetta or mom's 64.5 Mustang. :drive:

Short trip this year, should get there Friday the 13th :eek2: and we are leaving out the 23rd. I'm deploying in mid September so the SS is staying in my dad's garage in Michigan while I'm gone.

I have never been to the cruise before and plan on driving 8 hours this year to go...so apparently i should go there a few days before the cruise? I am looking for burnouts and street racing, just cruising doesnt do it for me....

You need to get there early in the week. The closer it gets to the cruise, the more crowded it gets and the more strict the police get. Were leaving out today and should be there tomorrow evening.
