How many hood pins do you pin on guys have?

How many hood pins do you pin on guys have? I am trying to figure out the least amount required, I am hoping 4 can be done. Im not too keen on the look of anything more then that. I don't see why only 4 cant be done unless I am overlooking something.
Reason for asking this I have seen some with more then 4 and it did not look right (to me at least). I am gauging interest in a pin on hood and want to see what I am in for if I do decide to get one.

Never had a pin on hood on a street car but had them on dirt cars. If it can stand up to the beating and banging of that then i don't see why it would be a problem on yours. This was with 2 in the front and 2 in the back

Is this a street car? If it is then a pin-on is going to be a gigantic pain in the ***. Not really worth the weight savings IMO. Just sayin. To answer the question though I've seen plenty with 4. I can't imagine that not holding such a light object.
