Anyone here have work experience in Dubai? I am in the process in putting together a project of installing a load cell for testing gas turbines in Abu Dhabi, Dubai( load cell is a dyno for gas turbines). The project will last a month and I know how to do the job but have no clue about working over there. Does anyone here have any experience in working over there?

I have vacationed there twice and loved it. Casual dress is common such as khakis and what not, no one wears shorts. Also, if you are sitting around with Arabs, it is tacky to show them the bottoms of your feet so cross your legs away from who is sitting near you. Oh and don't expect much safety such as OSHA.

It's hot as hell right now and it's only June. I'm in Kuwait and it pretty much sucks. I've done 2 summers in Iraq and it's hotter here than it gets up there..so I'm not looking forward to this summer. They can't drive any crazier than these idiots..going to and from work is a death defying event every day.
