Torsen, you do not need the additive

Fantastic! I had a buddy who used to be a manager at valvoline so I ran up there on our lunch break and he had them fill up the diff for free. Now I don't have to worry about it being too low when I take it to a place where I can actually work on it. Damn cover was leaking pretty bad. Just gotta go home, pull the cover back off, drain it, replace the gasket and get it back in the car. Anyone have an easy way to get the oil back in the car?

YOur buddy at Valvoline that does it for free.

Jack the rear up as high as you can get it, get 2 quarts of oil and start squeezing it in.

Go get you a hand pump. It's worth the $10!! I have 2 of them. One for the rear and one for the tranny.

Yeah, from the looks of it I'm gunna be doing the gasket swap in my work parking lot lol. Guy that's gunna be doing it for me is tiny so we won't have to Jack it up very far... But we're gunna be jacking it up and redoing the gasket. I'll grab a hand pump and do it that way.

Interesting, what about a 2002 ws6? Do I need the Additive? I'm changing fluid soon.

G80 AXLE,REAR,POSITRACTION,LIMITED SLIP POSITRACTION L/SLIP R/AXL(G80)

It doesn't say which unit I have tho, guess I wont know till I open the cover.

I found this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/1740885-post7.html

you wont know untill you open the cover. i dont think WS6's got the auburn, i think that was an SLP option, and SLP had nothing to do with WS6's, just Firehawks and SS's
