Default ECM question

Will a 94 or 95 caprice ECM with an LT1 motor work with a 94 z28?

nobody on LTXtech has given me an answer yet and i cant find anything on google

ECM = engine control module (93s only).
PCM = powertrain control module. (94+).

Just clearing up some acronyms.

geez im just getting pwned here haha

alright does anyone have a 94 z28 PCM for sale with an auto tranny..
well lets put it in civilian terms since i keep getting pwned.

Does anyone have a computer for a 94 z28 with an auto tranny. lol
i think mine is starting to bite the dust. Im not looking to spend $340 at GM

Such a simple question and such wrong answers!

YES the Caprice PCMs will work it simply needs to be flashed with what you want in it.

Many think the 4.3 Caprice modules are useless and I have bought a few cheap.

i've heard that it'll work the only real difference is that it has 2 knock sensors i read off of this page i found http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/lt...amaro-ecu.html

and the caprice computer i bought had a 350 LT1 motor in it according to the owner

Yes the Caprice has two knock sensors in parallel (they are 2x impedance) resulting in the impedance being the same are the circuit.

You can buy tunercats and a cable and load it yourself or get someone to load it for you

You need to have it flashed for your setup..
