Default if the input and output shafts spin, is the tranny generally okay?

My car is making stock power and I broke my rear at the track by doing a 3K RPM drop. I'm trying to figure out if the trans broke too. When it was in the car it would go into the gears fine then when I let the clutch out it would sound like something was spinning freely from the trans.

Anyways I took it out and replaced the clutch with an LS7 set up and I don't want to put it all back together to find out the trans is broken too. I can put it in all the gears and spin the input shaft and the output shaft spins too. It is easy to spin the shaft and gets slightly harder as I go through the gears from 1st to 6th.
