Default Installing AFR heads, Do I need this part?? Pics Inside, HELP QUICK!

When I removed my factory heads on the drivers side there was only one dowl pin type piece in the block on the front side where the last head bolt goes in. There should be 2 correct? the passenger side had 2. But unless i missed something my drivers side only had one in there. I looked everywhere also.
2002 5.7LS1
Where can I find one of these FAST??? I Do need it right?

Yes there are 2 on each side of the block. Did you look in the head that came off that side?

Yea, I looked at the head also, no luck. Does anyone know what this part is called exactly? Or have a part number?

^ Winner. Any dealership should have them in stock or be able to get them to you the next day if there is one in town. You'll just probably pay a lot more for it, but at least you'll have it.

YES, you need them.

Any GM dealer should be able to acquire you some within a day or 2 if they don't already have some in stock.

are you sure it didnt stay in the head when you removed them?

One of my slipped right out whenever I swapped heads. I traded my 241s for 799s + cash a while ago and didn't notice it was missing. Luckily the guy I was trading with had some pliers to make everything right.

6.88$ through the local GM dealership. Crazy, but necessary!
