Default p90x

A buddy of mine wants to start this program and asked me to start with him. Looking at the videos it looks like this is going to kick my ***. Time to get back in shape. A little over an hour a day, 6 days a week, 90 days. Wish me luck.

p90x is old, go with INSANITY. I guess to warm up p90x is pretty good, I like the kenpo and plyometrics. INSANITY is a type of workout with like 5% downtime during the entire workout videos.

My roommate has p90x on his computer, I got him to burn the ab ripper program for me. I was doing it for a while, and I have to say, its intense. I have never done any other of their programs, but if they are all as intense as the ab ripper, then I have to say it is probably a badass program. Goodluck

I went to start it last week. It is not for beginners. That's for certain. I had started the diet the week before and lost 6 pounds just from sticking to the diet. I started the workout (Day 1 - chest & back / ab ripper) the following Monday (5/31). I couldn't move for a couple of days and there was no way in hell I could do day 2 the following day. I have now had a stupid upper respiratory infection for the past 5 days. I was down a total of 8 pounds (185 to 177) when I got sick. I was 179 this morning. I hope to get back on it in a couple of days. If you stick to it, I don't see any way in hell how it wouldn't get you great results.

Off all the people I know that started P90X, I'm the only person I know of that finished it. Most couldn't hang. My wife made it all but the last 3 weeks.

Workout 6 days a week = P90x...

Workout 3 days a week = P180x... (I would rather complete this one)!

The workouts go pretty fast. The 2 I did were over before I knew it, but they were tough. They even say on the DVD to pace yourself because most people can't go 100% at first.

If you could follow the diet and workouts 80%, I think you would still get great results.

I really liked p90x, but i never got the manual for it because I burned it. I'd like to see how it's actually noted how to do the program. Like what their schedule is like. I just do the videos that I feel suits me for that day. I don't know what days to put the ab ripperx in or anything. I wish I had that diet too. I have my own, but I wonder how theirs is setup. Can you post how they have the workout setup for the 90days? I made it through the first 45days, and then I got in my car accident, sucks.

I have heard the diet is a huge part of it. Havn't tried it but have had friends that do and say it works good.

I just do heavy resistance Mon-Thurs (workout I learned from the football team when I played college baseball) and HIT training on the weekends. It's basically the same training most Tailbacks go through in college ball. P90x just looks like hardcore aerobics to me, plus I hate working out at home.

Have thought about doing P90x just to see how it did plus I could probably loose 5 lbs, but I could do that with my current workout. Currently I am 6'1" 210 lbs. bench over 300 lbs. and squat over 500. Have always wondered how I would take to it, but I just don't follow diets strict enough.

I figured I was handing myself an *** whooping. It looks pretty intense. The diet OS crazy too. I also got it bootleg on the computer. But I also have all the stuff that comes with it (calendar fitness guide nutrition plan.) I am not really over weight so the diet isn't really my concern. Everyone I have talked to say nothing but good things

I didn't follow the diet I followed my own, but for the most part, I followed the workout plan. I'm a short guy and I started it @ 200lbs, so I was quite overweight. 3 months later I was down to 150 flat. I'm back up to 160 and I'm about to begin INSANITY, same sponser as p90x, beachbody.com. It works quite well and it will kick your *** and ya, the Ab Ripper is only a 15-20 minute workout but 2 days later I literally could not walk. I'm glad it was a weekend day because I would not have been able to go into work.

The more intense the diet, the better the results.

Why not just go to the gym and gain some muscle while you lose some weight?

If you have a gym membership, this is a good idea. If you have a newborn at home, no gym membership and limited free time (like myself at the present time), it's worth the $75 to just buy this program (dvds and excercise/diet program books).

After paying for the program, an extra set of dumbells, some resistance bands and a chin-up bar, I have about $140 invested. I'll let you know if it was worth it.

Im only trying it to see if I can finish it and because I got it for free. I would much rather just lift weights and run lol
