Default How about 2004 Cobra Mystichrome?

Been thinking about this lately, since flats/mattes are pretty played out. Anyone do it on an F-body? It's like Mystic Teal Metallic on steroids.

That would be a sick looking car for sure. The closest I have seen to mystichrome is bermuda blue. His name is Alex41 on here.

Have a color code for that? Think I would need to do the jambs and under the hood on a NBM Camaro?

The color code is U26/214M and yes, you would have to jam it for NBM.

There's a Mystichrome Mustang that goes to a car show I go to every month. I can't say that I like the color too much, it's too green and the purple that reflects doesn't look good. To be honest... I would go as far as to say that I hate that color in person. It's a nasty forest green that changes to a nasty bluish purple.

I like the Dupont Chromalusion (however they spell it... Chrome Illusion?) Aqua Purpleine color that was used on this Berger SS:

Then there was this "Blue Steel" Camaro that was in GM High Tech Performance a long time ago.

For more examples... TVR in the UK uses paint colors they call Reflex on their cars. They all change colors. http://www.google.com/images?q=tvr+r...og&sa=N&tab=li

i already researched this option and apparently the only way you are going to paint this car mystic is if you have a mystic cobra. I read on a SVT site that you need the vin # they will send out an adjuster for your car to see if its a real mystic cobra then go from there. Another guy wrecked a certain part of his mutang and they (im guessing the insurance) only approved enough for that one section. It seems to be that it cost a couple hundred bucks a pint/quart. so its expensive ****. And if you dont have a mysitc cobra your not going to get any.... but GL anyway

Not anymore, you can buy it outright. Spies Hecker is the manufacturer.

Go to any automotive paint shop and they will give you the paint code for the mystic cobra color. However, color changing paint is not cheap it generally runs 100-200 a pint. I have been doing paint and body for about 15 years and have never had to submit a vin to get authorization for paint.. Someones lying.

I have had to run vin# to get a paint code because sticker was missing or not legable. If you want I can get you the paint code and a cost. My supplier is awesome.

Nice looking color, but i hate to think of the hassle involved to do touch ups. Unless things have gotten easier, i thought that matching the chameleon/candy colors was a pain in the *** if done at separate times, due to different paint batches when mixed, and having to spray all at the same time.

I too have heard of Ford keeping a lockdown on the old mystichrome color, and requiring a VIN, and either pictures of the damage, or something of the sort, and they only would give you enough paint to fix the damage. I know a guy with a body shop, and he had one of those cobra's. This was approx. 10 years ago, so things might have lossened up a bit, but i thought it was crazy when he said how tight Ford was with the paint.
