Post Up Your Single Plane PICS!
Include all the parts you used an the price you paid:
Mine breaks down like this:
1. Intake Professional Products Super Hurricane $275ish
2. Edelbrock Fuel Rails (for Victor E): $75ish
3. Elbow custom made br friend:$ 300ish
4. Conversion on intake-done by friend: $included in elbow price
5. Coupler to MAF: Fernco at Home Depot: $8.00
6. Chrome Elbow :Spectre $30ish
7. Adapter for stock rail to Edelbrock rails: $don't remember but it was cheap
You dont need the fernco piece with my setup. You can still run the stock CAI kits if you want to. You NEED a cowl hood for my setup. It will clear in the back area but up at the TB it will hit a stock hood. You can sorta tell from the sideways pic.
Had to trim the cowl area a little bit here:
All in all it cost me around $800 for everything you see. You can do it in partial pieces if you wish so you don't have to drop all the money at once. When you pick a nitrous kit, you can choose from any 4-bbl kit out there and simply mount a nice plate setup right under the elbow. 4-bbl nitrous kits and way cheaper than the dedicated LT1 kits, and there are hundreds to choose from.

Quite the baller setup! Geez, lol. I wanted people to know how much it costs to have it done, because i've seen guys selling single planes, elbow, and rails for like $1600, and I know it can be done for way cheaper. Most guys don't know that though. Yours looks damn good!

Thanks man. I think yours turned out great for what you put in it and it definitely helps to have friends that can help you out. I spent some extra on mine to have my heads converted to SBC bolt pattern instead of doing the intake. There are definitely more costs involved than I originally thought there would be.

My friend hooked me up. He made a jig where he can pop in an SBC intake and then drill it for the LT1 bolt pattern in about 15 minutes. He cuts off the thermostat part of the sbc intake, fills the holes with weld, and then grinds it smooth. Mine came out pretty good. You can see the vacant thermostat part real good in my first pic.

Prices below are normal MSRP...I bought the heads, intake and fuel rails from a friend for a very good deal

Hood clearance at the TB with an OEM style ram-air hood is enough to use our TB solenoid mount and still close my hood
all I had to do is bend the bracket so the solenoids laid flat on TB...used this set up for a short period of time.
I now have the solenoids mounted behind the elbow

That's a nice looking setup Ray! I know that you guys make those elbows on an order basis, but I can't find the link when I go to your website. Maybe if they were on your website and easy to find you'd get some more orders for them. I've directed a few people to you guys. I noticed on my setup that the Professional Products manifold is a little taller than the Edelbrock Victor E. People should make a note of that if they choose that manifold, because a cowl hood is a must with my setup. My friend could have made an elbow that really bends downward to clear but that would be counter-productive to making more power.

here are a few mock up pictures...our elbow does not bend down at all. But as you stated the Vic EFI is a little lower.
We will be getting the elbow's back up on the website shortly, they were put on a temporary hold due to a manufacturing issue.
Those issues have been resolved and we are able to start taking orders again.

Looking good guys ! this is going to be my next mod for hopefully the 2011 LTX shootout. I have ran some 10.90's on my current combo so I'm hoping to see some good gains going to a solid roller single plane setup.

I'll play too. Don't have all the prices since some parts were bought as a bundle, some used from here, and some I purchased myself. Lid and ram air kit have not been purchased yet.

-Max effort port job by Craig Gallant @ GTP, waterneck cut and welded, Carbon Fiber lifter valley heatshield/cover
-Edlebrock fuel rail kit (Check out the size of the feed fittings LOL)
-IntakeElbows.com Elbow, port matched to funky intake opening(I've never had to port an intake elbow before...)
-AS&M 58mm TB
-Fast Toys 104mm LS1 Lid (No MAF, SD tuned)
-Chris1313 Ram air kit
Sorry, its dirty from sitting so long. My heads should be back from the shop next week, then I can send the flow bench results to Llyod to cook me up a nasty cam. Still got quite a ways to go overall, but it is coming along.
