HSVR8

Hey guys, I'm from Australia and got myself an 07 VE HSV R8. Which uses the T56 gearbox..

I'm experiencing a weird noise in neutral with my clutch pedal out. Like a vibration, light rumbly noise. Yet if I put the clutch in, the noise goes away.

Also in 1st , 2nd gear at high RPM's maybe 2 out of 10 times when I rev it right out, theres this high pitched whine at about 5-6k RPM.

Does this sound like a gearbox issue?

Where do you feel the vibration at? In the car itself or in the pedal?

Sounds like your release bearing, how many Ks you done...maybe time to upgrade your clutch

You have the same model as me and I had a gearbox issue where it made a funny squeeling noise but only when labouring in 5/6 it would start and not go away till I slowed right down to about 20/30 kph.

Another friend also had noises but it did different things.

It cost me $1200 to have it repaired by a gearbox repairer, it was a known issue by holden but they refused warranty due to mods.

That model(some) has issues with the gearbox
