Default Power seat swap

I met a guy who has a 97 WS6, and he wants to give me his nice power (air lumbar support) seats for $100. Im all over it I just need to know if the wiring harness for the passenger seat will and where to hook it up to.

If anybody has experieced this let me know, also im pretty sure the seats are heavier but does anyone now how much compared to the leather TA seats?

It is a direct swap and plug in. But fair warning here.

MAKE SURE TO GET THE WIRING HARNESS THAT RUNS UNDER THE CENTER CONSOLE TO THE PASSENGER SEAT!!!!

Pontiac does not list the part so there is virtually no way to order it. I had to MAKE mine!

IF you get the harness should be good to go.

I love my TA seats in my Convertible SS! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Hey thanks for the heads up on the harness, I like those seats too. But after I went to go get this guys seats and played around with the air inflators for a while I decided to keep my stock leather seats.

I checked out the harness and it had a different plug on it than the one I had, so that meant tearing the carpet, center console out to swap harnesses as well.

Ill probably get some Corbeau, Sparco, Recaro seats down the road or I might just keep mine.

It had two wires one white and one orange, then it goes directly into the TA harness. The pulling the harness out of the TA would be a little work, but installing it into your car isn't too hard. I did not put it under the carpet, just loosened the center console and slipped it under.

The TA seats will be your cheapest seat replacement option. But ultimately it is your car and your tush that make the decision.

Later.

The GM P/N for the harness is 12177553....$57.44 from GMPartsDirect.com

I just put a set of AQ9 seats in my Z28.

Greg99LS1, Thanks for that info. I spent an hour arguing with the Pontiac parts guy about this. He said it was unavailable. Now I can actually buy the real thing!

No sweat.....sounds like the parts guy simply didn't want to bother with it.

I'm looking into getting a 1970 Z28 emblem embroidered onto the headrests, maybe the door panels too....
