What tools do I need for an engine build? I'm looking to strip down an engine, clean it and rebuild it. I just want an extensive list so I don't forget anything. If you have any recommendations on companies and all, it is very much welcomed.

A pair of torque wrenches. [inch and ft]
A bolt stretch gage.
Ring grinder.
Valve spring compressor.
Piston ring compressor.
You do not use regular taps to clean threaded holes. You use thread cleaner/chaser taps. Not expensive from Summit, etc.
Engine build record sheets.

I'm assuming everything is in the English system since I hear most stats on the engine being in the english system but is that true?

Could someone list the thread sizes that are necessary for chasing all of the engine bolt holes? :) IIRC the head bolts are not a common size that's in everyone's tap/thread chasing kits
