ok thanks man. im still a noob so i have some questions. what is the difference between the 98-99 and 00-02 and why is it $20.00 more? is it because of that rubber tube thats connected to the stock lid? is that for the A.I.R.? because i am about to get rid of that because i am about to unstall race headers. i have a '00 ss btw. sorry for the stupid questions
BTW there is no such thing as a stupid question if you really don't know the answer to it. I had to same question not to long ago. Thats what this forum is for and anyone who gets mad at someone asking a serious question then thats pretty sad. Any more questions just ask.
Edit: I will get some Picture's up when it gets here.

No its all good. Well I emailed Bryan Walker from Speedinc.com and asked him that exact same question because I have a 02 WS6 with Race Headers. He said that there is no difference except the AIR Tube is not there on the 98-99 lid. So I bought that one. Plus they have free shipping on all order more than $100.

Clear Lids
We bought the Mold for the MTI lid a few years ago, and have been producing them ever since.. We have had a difficult time locating good clear plastic at a resonable price, so thats why we removed them from our site, we are working on finding a new source for the material, then we will offer them for sale again.

Forgive me for the dirty engine bay. Only thing I had to do is take out the IAT in the stock Lid and drill a hole in the MTI lid for it(3/4 paddle bit).

Nope I have the accordion one. haha. It was actually not that bad at all. Once I get the 4 lid tabs (2 on the back on each side) in, I give the whole lid a good push and theres a section on the front of the lid that tucked inside the Air box (I think thats what its called? Well the thing that the lid sits on) and the Air box(?)tabs went on perfectly. Let me get a picture of what I'm talking about.
