Default Mustang K Members: AJE vs the rest

LS3 into an 03 Cobra, what are the pros and cons of the AJE swap K member vs other tubular K members and using the 4.6 mounts?

Someone told me I cant remove the trans in the car unless I have the AJE K Member because the AJE moves the entire assembly forward, not sure that I will need to but in the event something fails I'm not looking forward to an engine/trans pull.

I live about 15 min. from AJE and have a good friend that has been there a long time. They are from my experience by far the best choice for your swap. You are correct about it moving the engine forward. I can ask him any questions you would need to know!

How far forward does it move the engine?

How much space is between the engine/firewall and engine/fans with the AJE K Member?

I need to make sure I have room to route the turbo piping.

It moves the engine back about 3/4" from where a 302 would be with a Aje

Is it aluminum or iron block? The extra motor mount holes on the alu motor will make a difference. If you don't want to cut, weld, and modify, just get the aje setup.

If you're local to Miami I can bring the mockup motor out =)

I talked with him tonight. He said the bellhousing will be in the same spot as the factory tranny and will be able to remove it without problems. He has a scratched display model he would sell really cheap. PM me if you want his number
