Default Timeslip from Test&Tune

So first time at the track in the firebird his is my best slip

60"-2.095
1/8-8.734 @ 83mph
1/4-13.459 @ 103

i was kind of hoping for lower 13s but it was about 85 degrees out with a 12mph headwind and DA was at 3078 . seemed like it hooked real good but i dont know first time using the ET streets. Ran 13.4's launching from 1200 but 13.5s when launched from 1500 tho. Do you think the weather could had affected my times a bit? All mods in the sig. just dont have a tune for the headers yet thats all.

well using that formula above it said i should be able to run a 12.9 under good air conditions and that seems about right to me a friend with pretty much the same set up ran a 12.8 when the DA was very low. I didnt realize how much of a diffrents that DA made in your times.

Without a stall, gears, and **** air I don't think it's that bad. We also don't know what he weighs. He could have 800lbs of stereo equip in the back for all we know. It could be better but I think a full second is somewhat unrealistic.

I had the same bolt-on's he has in a 02 SS a4 but not the one i have now and ran 12.61@111 w/1.91 60ft so i am just going off of what i have done but i do understand we have different track condition's.The 02 SS a4 i have now ran 13.36 stock so that tells u the difference in track conditions.

I'm not doubting your experience but I have yet to see first hand a LS1 that goes 13.3 in bone stock trim around here. I'm not saying they can't as we all have seen the reports of cars going high 12s. I just don't think you can say that someone should be a second faster when the op didn't even tell us what his baseline was. Also his car is a 99 so no LS6 intake.

My experience with my car, I started out 13.9 @ 100 in stock trim. After the boltons(LTs, LS6 manifold, ported tb, gears, tune,cb) in similar weather I was at 13.0 @ 108. Add the stall 12.4 @ 110, add cam and portjob to my heads, lighter wheels, and I'm running the times in my sig.

For what it's worth my cousin's 02 Z A4 went 12.90 with catback, lid, pulley, and ported tb. For us to really know where he "should" be we need to know where he started from. His MPH is way low(DA related I'm sure) and his 60 needs some work but if he's not spinning he's not going to gain there anyhow.

There is no doubt the 01-02 cars are stronger. I just think they get used as the measuring stick and it's really not fair. These cars were built on an assembly line with some margin of error to begin with and then add the bigger injectors, better intake, and heads, I mean the proof is right there for all to see. I couldn't touch my cousin's 02 mod for mod. There is no way, and I have turned the wrenches on both of them.

well everything including the back seats are out of the car the scales at the track where not open for some reason so i didnt get to weight it. But this was my first time at the track with this car so i dont have anything eles to compare it too, i have MT et streets so i dont think traction is an issues i might need to warm them up in the water box a bit longer iv never used slicks before. But almost 4000 DA seems really high i just dont know how much of a diffrents in time it could if it was at 400 DA instead tho.

My 00 WS6 ran a best of 13.03 @107 with all bolt-ons minus headers and a stall. I never ran it 100% stock, but with a lid and a catback it ran 13.40s.

I have yet to run it with my new 6.0 motor, I still need a dyno tune and gears.

The mile an hour seems low for a bolt on car, but the ET street slicks and high DA are probably both responsible. I would put it on drag radials, and get a converter in there.
