Default How long did header install take you?

Just want everyone who has done header install to pick how long it took you. And post what brand header you put in. Thanks

LOL! First to post >15 hours!
My install took about 52 hours over the course of 7 days! -- but I did Poly MM too in addition to Pacesetter 1.75" headers and TSP Catted Y. The longest part of my install was actually removing old exhaust. I didn't have all the tools so I had to take several trips to Autozone/OReilley, etc. Biggest part was buying a Dremel and figuring out how to use it...lose the stupid tiny red rubber ring, scouring the floor looking for it, finding it, installing the wheel, touching & breaking the wheel, screaming/yelling/swearing/cursing, try again, cut, wheel got worn too fast, goto store, buy Heavy Metal Cutting Wheel, try again, and then it worked! Then PB Blaster and brute force to get that stupid Y Pipe off.

I was cutting the clamp off of my Ypipe to I pipe connection. For some reason, the entire bolt/nut assembly on the clamp was welded to make one big piece, so I had to dremel the clamp off.

Hooker 1 3/4 took about 3 hours start to finish. Kooks 2" headers took about an hour. Gotta love lifts and tubular k members

SLP tuned length, took about 2 hours and had to do some grinding on the K member, but not bad otherwise. My pacesetters were quicker not as wide as the SLP's. Lift definitely makes life easy.

less then 12 hours Ebay headers and pacesetter ORY. hardest part for me was getting the old Y pipe and all that off. Then the only other problem i ran into was the passage side, last 3 holes i had to run a tap tho because the theards got messed up . Overall not that bad.

mine took about 5.5-6 hours. the removal was easy, i just cut it all off! i installed QTP 1 3/4" long tubes with QTP off-road y-pipe and SLP LM cat back. i altered mine a little by cutting off the tip of the SLP resinator to open it up tol 4" and shoved that piece directly into the y-pipe flowmaster collector.

12 or less for my Pacesetters, but it's not a race. if you've never done it before take a week if that's what it takes to make sure you get it done right the first time without screwing something up.

Took a buddy and I about 2hrs to install my Pacesetter LTs, ORY, and poly motor mounts. I cheated though, I did my install on a lift and I had installed headers on a few cars before I did mine.

about 3 hours all by myself in a home parking garage with Kooks 1-7/8 longtubes, catted y-pipe, and full exhaust out the rear... a shorty floor jack, some landscaping bricks, and basic hand tools... and I took time to talk on the phone with a buddy for about 30 minutes to talk him thru a portion of his cam install on his car..LOL

the key... dont try to save the stock exhaust...dont try to unbolt the stock exhaust...
just take a sawzall to it and get it out as fast as you can...

I recently removed a set of SLPs due to them having odd holes in the primaries and just sucking in general. Replaced them with a set of used uncoated Pacesetters that I wrapped.

With everything fighting me the whole way it still only took 2 and a half hours at most to get everything swapped out. I did have the advantage of air tools and a lift. The passenger side SLP header didnt want to come out so I sawzall'd that ridiculous mess of pipes in half. Had to fab a new Y out of the old SLP. Its not the most beautiful thing in the world, but it came out decent. Just strategically cut a small section out and got everything lined up and welded it. Gained a bit of clearance. I actually went over a speed bump today and nothing scraped.

Topped it off with a magnamouth. Doesnt sound like complete **** anymore and is a lot more enjoyable to drive. Ive driven my car more in the last month then I have the last couple years.

Less then 12.

Me and my Dad installed my OBX-R Headers/Y in a -20*C storage unit with a small space heater in middle of January. Also was only JUST high enough up in the air to get them in. Lol was a pain in the butt. The OBX-R headers fit in like a glove and would suggest them to anyone .

Pic of my working enviroment :S :

Came out nice thought (This hoist would have come in handy DURING replacment, haha) :
