Boltons completed... Tune worth it?
Well ive got a point now where ive done some boltons to my car and just wondering if a tune is worth spending the money on and get some results. Just curious as to what people have gained over a stock tuned pcm with boltons vs a tune. What can i expect? Anyone have any files they might be able to send me and get my buddy to flash my pcm?

I guess youre trying to stay emissions ok, either way get a tune it helps alot.
I remeber when i did a ls6 intake longtubes and a lid on my z28 it was nice, but after a tune holy hell was it better.

I know if it will make a difference in some way but i was just curious as to how much power the tune made you over a stock tune. I know in the LS world a tune can make up some serious power but i know the LT is alot harder. Just wanted some feedback what people have noticed/gained after tunning for bolton mods.

If you change anything on your engine that affects the fuel mixture, spark or the movement of air in or out of your engine, then you need a tune. You'll need a to change the tune for those 4.10's as well.

i had bolt ons similar to yours last year and even with a hypertech tune i went from 13.9s to 13.60 so i would say to get the tune.. even if it is a mail order or hypertech.. then you can adjust your speedo and so forth..

Much more can be had out of a tune. My car still runs a little rich on the stock tune and I'm waiting on more mods to get the tune.
If it helps, I ran 13 flat in the 1/4 at about 2300 or so DA on Ebay headers, ory, no air/egr, 3.73's, 3600 stall, and some ET Street Radials

I've been driving mine around for months with my mods without a tune and I can tell there is alot more power to be had. It falls on its face from 1500 to 3000 rpms which is ridiculous. I know my car well enough to expect 25-30 horses from a good tune, comparatively from when it was well running at stock to running like crap with mods.
