Default Hybrid Assembly issues. HELP!

I am reassembling the vette/F-Body hybrid, and I got the main case on the front plate and in neutral, the assembly spins fine, but when I try to shift into any gear, it locks up, almost as if its in 2 gears. Any ideas?

Is this using a GTO mainshaft or the SSR mainshaft?

I don't think this has anything to do with it being a hybrid, just that the shifter assembly fell off during assembly. Is this your first rebuild?

Getting the main case and front plate mated, while putting on the offset guide lever and guide pins at the same time, is probably the hardest part of the reassembly, especially if doing it for the first few times.

Sounds like a syncro ring is sticking. Probably the 4th gear if I had to guess. Did you put some lube on the frictions when you assemblemed it?

I think the shift rail is falling apart. Any tricks to getting it in? and it is suppose to spin with the main case in place?

As for the frictions, what are you calling the frictions? Not too up on the lingo haha.

The syncro frictions (the fiber rings for the syncronizer assembly).
