Default American Racing Headers & Y-Pipe + Dual DMH Low Pro Cutouts

1 7/8 American Racing headers

pics under the car. the y-pipe tucks up pretty well

Vid of cutout in action

everything is stainless so no more worry's about this stupid NE weather lol

I live right by the American Racing Headers shop here on long island so i got them directly from them. All the guys over there are really cool. I installed everything then marked where i wanted the cutouts and brought the y-pipe to them and had them weld the cutouts on for me. they did an outstanding job

tell me what you think guys

Joe

Adding pictures of ground clearance...looking sweet

if you look at the pics i mounted them after the first bends in the Y-pipe. i put dual cutouts in because i wanted and needed the extra flow. the low profile cutouts is really for a dual cutout system. if you want to run a single put it in the i pipe.

i got mine from Vengeance Racing. they have the dual setup with everything you need for 429. comes with a 4 year warranty but they only thing that can go bad is the motor and those are easy to change if they go bad after the 4 years

why do i need a new belt...its a gatorback and in great shape lol.

ya i was able to do it on the blocks no problem. just when you are installing the passanger side header you have to get "creative" with the angle of the car. by that i mean you have to jack the front end all the way to the moon but it can be done safely.

i do all my own work and have done every mod to my car on those cinder blocks including motors, trannies, rears, suspension...you gotta work with what ya got lol

from jegs

http://www.jegs.com/i/Caspers+Electr...03032/10002/-1

it works very well i use it as the air intake for my PCV system instead of that tube going to the TB.

Looks awesome. I'm getting ready to order a set of ARH's myself. The fit and finish is second to none.

thanks guys and anthony i will be by on saterday to do some finish welding on my I-pipe muffler and get rid of all the leaks before i tune it.

these headers really do fit well and slide in without having to jack the motor up or anything. If you are going from a crappy hooker y-pipe to these headers and y-pipe you will here such a huge diff...sounds so much cleaner.

i would recommend swapping to poly motor mounts when doing these headers. they fit awesome but do get close to the k-member on my car in 2 spots. every car is diff but since i did the polys i was able to tuck everything up real tight and have no banging what so ever.
