Default Clutch ped is soft sometimes.

I don't drive my SS that much, Onlt when I can take the tops off. Well One day I was pulling out of my drive way and the peddle was soft for the first few inchs. I was fine by the end of the block. This has only happened a few times. I don't drive it hard that offten, but yesterday when I ran with a 95 TA,and a 90 5.0 I didn't dump the clutch but it went soft when I went to 2nd gear. Is this common or do I need to bleed it or replace the M/C ??? I did do a search.

Thanks To all

Try bleeding first, if that doesn't work then your slave might be going.

When it's EXTREMELY cold out...like...below freezing...I notice a little bit of dead travel in my clutch pedal...but it sounds like you're probably only driving your car when it's 75 or warmer and sunny, so I doubt it's the same issue.

That said...if you are running ORIGINAL fluid in your clutch, it's probably time to do some maintenance, maybe just put new fluid in there, and bleed it, and I bet you'll be fine.
