Question LSX guy who's s10 wont start..status post head gasket replacement

Not sure where I should have posted this on this site but I went to an S10 specific website and there retards so figured i'd ask you guys...it still a Chevy...So heres the deal.

--Bought a 2002 S10 v6 4.3 off a buddy of mine with a blown head gasket.

--Took the heads off had them milled, replaced head gaskets with MLS stock replacement gaskets, new head blots all new upper and lower intake gaskets, new thermastat, oil, filter, plugs, wires.. blah blah blah. Everyting came off and went back together great...

--Went to start and it makes a noise but not a normal turning over noise doesnt sound like its firing and it wont start so we checked all the sensors and found the distributor wasn't plugged in..duh ok second try turn the key, same thing..no start same noise..

--Checked for compression... got nothing..0 psi all cylinders

-- i'm thinking pushrods are to long since the heads were milled and the valves are being held open but I figured if they were a little bit to long it would still start just run rough..?

Any help or ideas would be great.

May wanna take look at the crank sensor or the wiring to the crank sensor.

If you've got no compression then you're valves are more than likely hanging open due to pushrods being too long. Hopefully you haven't smacked any valves while trying to spin it over.

Would the crank sensor cause no compression?

No doubt the other board is not much help, but this topic has nothing to do with Gen-III engine internals.

the poor mans leakdown test all u need is to blow air into the head and turn it over and see where the air is coming out

i used an old compresion tester that died on me and hooked up a airhose to it and bam

saw it on hp tv
