Default Horn dosen't work?

Hey guys my horn is acting weird and I can't figure it out. Here is what happened. I git in a wreck and my bags popped well the horn still worked but sounded funny cause it got hit. So I went to a scrap yard and got one and put it on. Now it does not work by the buttons on the wheel but when you lock it it works. What could cause this ?

Your bags popped, what was done to the steering wheel afterwards?

Probably shorted a wire somewhere when you were hit. Test the horn button and wires for resistance and voltage. If there is an open circuit anywhere this will tell you.

Nothing was done to the steering wheel. Could the body shop have messed up a wire while the were pulling the frame?
