I hate the seat belt loops. They look like hell. And they clothesline the children when they are trying to get into the back seat.

So I jettisoned all of them. I also swapped the left/right headrests so the exposed screw holes are less noticeable. And I jammed the rear seatbelt behind the rear folding seatback latch. Much cleaner looking now:

The only inconvenience is the belt is a slightly farther reach. But she's not a daily driver so I can live with it.

looks good, my stock 96 seats didn't even have a place for the loops, but I have sense switched to the 02 ebony seats and hate those dam things.

When I do that it chokes my neck. That loop is a must for someone my height.

Yeah the whole time on my 600 mile ride with the 2 days we did Powertour, the seat belt cut into my neck.

Oh oh.

I haven't driven it for more than a few miles around town. It might really suck on a long trip.

FYI, thats why the loops have slots in them, so that the belt can easily be released from the loop so the backseat passengers can step OVER the belt rather thay trying to duck UNDER it. Not a big deal IMO.

Without the belt going through the loops, I doubt the vehicle meets crash safety standards due to the increased uncertanty of how the belt is positioned across the chest / shoulder of the passenger.

My bigger issue is that the seat belts no longer retract by themselves, and get caught in the door all the time.

I have this delete. It was freezing cold and my gym bag knocked against it and it broke.

I really miss this seatbelt loop. It's very convienient.
