Default AutoZone duralast clutch kit, look at pics here.

The PP says VALEO. the clutch says Raybestos. I am not using the clutch.
What is the best clutch to match up with this PP for a 97 trans am.

Only boltons and full exhaust.

Do i get a Organic or kevlar or ceramic.. Thanks
I need to get the setup balanced right??

That's an LT1-type pull clutch anyway, won't work w/ an LS1 running factory type hydraulics.

Actually it's a 261571 for the pull type LT-1. The 260571 is for a conventional push style pressure plates.

thanks Billy....the drop down menu on Jegs list 260571 for 67-97 "camaro"...go figure.

so is the "261571 a DF disc??

Summit list it as "organic"

Yes it is a dual friction disc, organic ceramic. It fits all 1993-1997 pull style pressure plates. I have updated the website to reflect the correct info.

Which part number was the kit? Would the Autozone PP, bearings and a McLeod disc be better than a Ram HD setup or a Spec stage 1?

A buddy of mine ran consistant 7.05s in the 1/8 with an autozone clutch. To this day i still wonder how. It may have been slipping but you couldnt tell by him picking the front wheels all the time. It was a LT1 car that soon got a powerglide and instantly ran 6.80s.

your friend must have been lucky cause I burned up my stock autozone clutch in under 3k miles with only one short burnout
