hey jeanie, this is a difficult process ok. The hood says a LOT about a car :-p I dnt want to be over the top, people might think its fast! Arent the 4" cowl hoods redesigned as well? Also, whats the width diff. between wide sunoco and regular sunoco? Also, how big of a PITA is it to install dzus fastners on a 4th gen?

I know - I was just being a smarty pants :devil:

The width difference between the standard and the wide sunocos is about 4".
2" on each side wider then the original sunoco.

Our 4" cowl has been redesigned.
Instead of slowly coming up to a 4" rise, it comes up almost immediately to 4", making the scoop sleeker.

I don't think adding the fasteners is too much of a PITA...
You would of course need to remove all the hardware under the hood, and welding brackets on to your firewall for the fasteners to screw into.
From that point, you would need to mark out the hood (we recommend putting some tape over where you will drill through the hood for the nicest results when drilling).
Drill out your holes, do some minor clean up on the hood and screw the fasteners into place.

BUT, I would only recommend going this route if you race the car.
Pin on hoods become much too complicated should you find yourself needing to get under your hood in a pinch on the street.
