dumb question
i dont have much knowledge of this but i was wondering how you can tell if your converter is stock or not i dont think its aftermarket but im not sure this is the only ls1 ive driven and im 17 so i cant compare a bone stock to this car ive never driven one but ive heard man people say that when they stall there near stock car up and launch it starts spinning at around 1300-1500 rpm. i did a almost perfect launch today with very little spinning on crappy bald goodyears from about 1800rpm. so im not really sure or not. any info will help thanks

You can take the inspection cover off the bottom of the trans and look at the converter. I think you have to remove the starter for ls1 cars. If its a big ugly thing then its most likely stock. There will probably be numbers on it also.
Just because you were able to take off fast without spinning doesnt mean you have a aftermarket converter.
