Default finally made it to dynotune

Just got done with my dyno tune after waiting about a year to get everything tightened up. This is my 355 with ported heads and the GM846 cam, through LPPs,cat's and a Borla. Happy with the numbers and the car is so much more driveable and throttle response is a lot better. My original goal for this car was about 425-450 flywheel horsepower so I'd say I did pretty good against the goals. torque curve looks nice too.

Time to fix the A/C, too dang hot today in Chicago

Those #'s look pretty low to be honest. I made 375rwhp with that cam on heads that only flowed 240cfm. It also looks like you're getting valve float too which is hurting peak #'s. I shifted around 6500 and peak hp was around 6200 IIRC. I would expect at least 400-410rwhp with that cam on a 355 with ported/epoxied heads.

thanks for the feedback, I wanted to see how it would, feels pretty good pulling, i'm still on the stock fuel pump too, so don't know if that's holding me back on the top either.

...you made 375RWHP with an 846 cam???

He is not using the donkey dong 847 - hence him actually making tq, and peaking much earlier .

Make sure you get the valve float fixed before you take out a lifter and the cam. The stock fuel pump should be fine as long as its in decent shape.

Yep, I don't see what's so hard to believe? I currently made 430rwhp with a high 22x cam as well.

X2 the 846 cam is plenty capable of 400+ combined w the right heads. We've made over 400 with a smaller cam than that.

Who ported your heads OP?

Mike at High Flow Heads in Alsip, IL.

Here's a video of a dyno run to 6100rpm or so. If there was a valve float issue, shouldn't I be able to hear it?

Whats smaller then 846, a hotcam? You guys realize this is a low lift, 222int cam right? This cam is ment for power under the curve and tq, not peak hp...check out that sweet tq curve!

I just didnt know baby cams were makin 400 with crappy heads and through 12 bolts now. I must be way out of the loop.
