Default Keisler clutchless 6 speed

Anyone out there have one on their car?
They debuted it at PRI last year and it seems to be a good deal for cutting time off 1/4 and 1/8 and still have the control to run road course and autox.

That's awesome but looks like it would be hell on the rest of the driveline. Especially on the down shifts lol

"super duper fast"

Faster? sure. But it definitely looks 'super duper' hard on the rest of the car.

4k for a 1-4 and I think 6k for the 1-6 gears. I've talked to them a few times. Cool guys. I wouldn't do this unless you were in a special cless that it was your only choice. Btw you still need a clutch because of the launch. You would also want to use the clutch when driving it around. Ask anyone that dd's a face plated trans. The cost of the clutch and trans is a bit. If you are going to go that route why not go with a linco or jerico if it need to be a stick. Otherwise just go auto.

Was he demonstating the trans or the bullet proof rear? LOL I see nothing wrong with downshifting with the clutch. His downshifting really turned me off the whole thing. Also, being a truck was kinda lame too. IMO Rather see it in a Mustang or Vette with some power.

It wouldnt chirp the tires on the downshifts if he blipped the throttle or heel/toe. He needs a driver mod.

You are correct, but I think the whole point of the video was that you don't need to match up the rpms for it to go into gear (up or down).

I would be curious to see how this trans held up in drag racing with a car making some power. This just might be my next upgrade..... I'm sick of hydraulic issues and missed shifts because of it.

Some good points in here. I hate my hydraulic issue's. If you have a built drive line then you should have nothing to worry about. Do you have to let off the gas to change gears? Can you just "powershift" it, this would be badass.

For 6 grand I can push on a clutch pedal, it's not gonna make the car much faster if any. If your powershifting anyway at the track then how much faster can the shifts be.

yes you have to lift off the gas slightly to shift.

yeah, 6690 was the quote i received, it's a high price but it holds over 1000rwhp...it's not viable for the average 400 rwhp fbody but guys who still love the manual and have high horsepower, might not be bad.
