Default Streetsweeper cam results

I went to the track tonight. My mods are in my sig. Looks like I need more gear and some better tires to get my times down.

Car has stock 16" rims with sumitomo tires and stock rear end and gears. Its a M6.

60' 2.213
1/8 8.525
mph 87.64
1/4 12.89
mph 113.19

Yes, that my wife, we dont go to the track much, actually that is my first time with her. I forgot to tell her about the board.

Does my time sound right for my power level and 60'?

With the rediculous tires you have on that thing your 60 is terrible. A decent street tire will help and a dot slick will make it a whole new car.

What was the DA during the runs? I know how it is trying to launch an M6 on shitty sumitomo tires too.

Do you have 3.42 gears? If so, 4.10s would be a much better choice with that cam. What were the weather conditions that day? What is the elevation of your track? I think you mph is quite a bit off if you are anywhere close to sea level. My guess is that you should be somewhere between 117-119.

The DA was 2474. It was pretty crappy weather to run.

The elevation of the track is 600 ft. Yes i have stock 3.42 gears. Im pretty sure those were killing my times as this cam peaks at between 6000 and 7000 rpms. I was expecting mph around 120 or a little less

It will be a night and day difference if you decide to switch over to 4.10s. I hated my car with the 3.42s, I'm much happier now with the 4.10s.

That da sucks for sure but I think you should be a little quicker with that much power.

Yeah, i have no shift light either so I tried to shift at around 6500 but hit the limiter once or twice. The 12.89 was when it was a clean run, but my 60' still sucked. How much would 410's help my times?

That DA is crappy. I ran an identical time and trap to yours the last time I was at our local track and the DA was around 2400 as well. With better air no doubt the car would run stronger. I have 4.10's waiting to go in my car and hope to gain a couple mph from them and a better tire. Your cam is bigger than mine as well and you should have a couple mph on me. Get some better tires and good air and see what she runs then. Good luck man.

The 4.10s made my car far easier to launch on street tires in addition to giving me almost 2 mph in the 1/4. Believe me, do it, you won't look back.

28in Tire and 4:30s or 4:56s...youll be set...Side Step it at 55 or 6.. You wont see 11s without tires and the gear. Then youve got to leave hard!

I went from running high 12s from trying to quick slip from 3000 to a side step @ 6000 and end up going high 11s..no other changes..With suspension and other things its getting quicker and quicker.

gears will be huge.
figuer out what tires you wnat to run, then get gears for that.

I sugest get 28 DR for the street and then or downm the road get 28 slicks. then gear a rearend with gears for that tire size.

My best pass last year was 12.847 @ 115 mph, 2.239 60' on my street tires with 3.42's @ 2200 elevation in 4000 DA weather.

This year I added 33 rwhp, a MWC 9" with 4.11's, 21lb driveshaft and 26x11.5-15 M&H cheater slicks. Best pass so far is 11.797 @ 118.23, 1.765 60' in 3090 DA weather. It's not cheap or easy to get into the 11's with an M6. Clutch, rear, wheels, slicks will get you there and most importantly seat time.

So basically I knocked 1 second off my ET with 4.11's, traction and 33 more rwhp. I'd have to guess my 9" with 140 weigh gear syrup is robbing me 20-30 rwhp. Last year I made 411 rwhp 387 rwtq. 3700 + lb raceweight.

Hey, i got a question about my 60' and ways to improve. Should I leave off idle or should I rev it up. The 2.2 came when I revved it up to about to and kinda slipped it and then put the pedal to the metal. Also, I am going to skip the water next time, dont think that helped at all.
