Default Anyone ever heard of Coan stalls?

I'm interested in buying a 3200 stall from a fellow member, but the brand is Coan. I've never heard of them, and was wondering if they were any good.

They've been around for a good while, only converter I've had was a Vigi, so I can't speak from experience on the Coan stuff far as quality. Just some thing to think about Neal Chance makes awesome converters, arguably some of the best in racing, but that's not a name you'll hear on here very often. They just don't market toward this crowd and the same probably holds true for Coan.

I agree with the marketing remark that was made earlier. If you watch monster jam, you will notice that every monster truck has a "coan" sponsor sticker all over it.. However, if you were to take all the ls1 guys and have them put a sponsor sticker of their converter, you would see a *** ton of vig, yank, ect. Thats not saying they dont make a good converter.. It just means they dont market our crowd of folks like the other guys. Hell, come to think of it.. I havent seen much marketing from neil chance at all in any crowd, but i can assure you that their some of the best damn converters money can buy! Same could possibly be said for coan, I just dont have any expereince with them like I do neil chance.

Like other said, Coan is a nice converter and has been around for a long time. They are well known in drag racing and the monster trucks. Definitely not junk...
