Try disconnecting the battery (-) cable for about 10 minutes to reset the pcm.

if you dont drive your car in the winter or rain have it deleted man..there really is no need for it..just find someone with hp tuners or efi live or some kind of tuner to get rid of it..should fix it

or just pull the t/c fuse. thats wat i do at the track, its the only way besides tuning it out to completely turn it off.
if u have warranty and want to keep it just pull the fuse

Call me crazy, but I think you should get it fixed instead of bandaid it... sounds like it is the sensor acting up or your 4th gear is slipping and the sensor detects the slipping in the transmission as if it where your rear tires breaking loose.

You can pay someone for the 2 credits / $100 it costs to use HP Tuners on your car and remove the T/C and still have the same issue.

How many miles do you have on the 4l65e in the GTO now and what kind of power to the wheels?

or if you have someone local that has one of the handheld programmers ie: diablosport they can turn it off just to see if it will help....

I would be more apt to think it has something to do with the TQ managment more so the the TC... When i reset my BCM i pull the BCM fuse and leave it out for a while. 30mins or more. If you just remove the battery term and put it back on right away it will still keep the settings.

You are out of warranty, but it might be a good idea to take it to the dealership and have them look at it. well worth the money rather then losing a trans...

I have a M6 so this is all JMO.

Good luck.
