The other day I found a tick on my leg, the first time I have ever had one on me (we live in a suburban area). I figured it was from when we just moved and there were woods beside our old house and it just was from there.
Today I was sitting on the couch watching tv when I felt something crawling up my leg, I look and it is a tiny tick. What the hell. I know I have dogs and they can get them but we live in a big neighborhood in the middle of a suburban area. Anyone know how I can get rid of these things for good? They creep me out more than any bug I have seen.

Off sometimes does the trick, otherwise almost nothing kills those little bastards.. when you get them off of you, make sure you get their head. otherwise the head lives without the body for a few days and buries itself deep in your skin and will cause an infection. ask me how i know

I use that exact one in my house; it kills them and kills the eggs if they happen to lay any (gets rid of fleas too), i also spray my dogs bed because ill find some crawling around on it. Now they usually show up dead. Im sure its safe to use on expensive rugs and couches, i pray mine and it doesnt seem to damage them at all.
Spray all inside your house. Its hard to keep them off when outside so lets face it you cant do anything about them. Id also treat your dog(s) also if they're getting on you. They will bring them into the house and its not pleasent for them to have so you might as well just prevent it. I pull them off mine regularly despite treating them but they will die off of them eventually from the treatment. Right now there is one under my dogs eye i cant get, its to small and she wont stay still. Wait till those suckers get huge and white/cream color. Very pleasent to burn them when you pull em off!
NC has deere, so hence all the deereticks. Doesnt matter if you live in a suburban neighborhood or in a rural area like me. They are there, and ticks will be too.

I got some stuff similar to that, sprayed the yard down with some spray that attaches to the hose, got some spray for carpets that is more of a fogger and got a big pump bottle that has stuff a normal exterminator has. One headache later from the fumes and I better have a pest free house.
