Conversions & Hybrids - 5.3 or 6.0?

I'm going to put a 5.3 or a 6.0 into my 98 S-10. I noticed that most people are using the 5.3 motor. Why? I can get the 6.0 for $600 more than the 5.3. Is it worth it? It will also be turbocharged. I would like to make the purchase tomorrow. Any advise would help. Thanks, Tim

probably just because 5.3's are cheaper/easier to find. i'd go with a 6.0 though, just for more power and probably just as easy to swap.

I would put in the 5.3 now, have fun and build up a 6.0 on the side. Then go big.
