Default Surfside beach

Does anyone have anything good to say about surfside beach? I've been to galv, aransas, and all that other jazz, but never been to surfside. It just so happens I have to travel down there for some work. Is surfside worth checking out?

Its nicer and cleaner than galveston and there are more waves. Its a small community over there so it isnt over crowded like galveston is.

Cleaner water than Galveston. Dirtier than Aransas. If I'm going to spend a day on the beach (within an hour from my house) surfing, fishing, or just playing in the water with my family, I'm going to Surfside. We don't go to Galveston for the beach. We go there for The Strand, Moody Gardens, dining, etc.

They drag the sand every so often so that it keeps the trash off of it.
