I think the main message is that it would be much easier to sell your car. Then buy a 6 speed one.

yea ive been looking on the classifieds for a 05 or maybe 06 gto thats a six speed who wouldnt mind tranding stright up...im sure it wont be hard...ive done some mods to mine and it runs a 12.24 on stock stall and tranny..if sum who wants to get into it to and gives her like a 3k stall..it should run 11.s easy..i just want a 6 speed

Then trade cars. Its not easy to do the swap. If your seriously that dedicated than do some searching on there, its been done before. The cost involved wouldnt be worth it. Ud probably save more money putting your car back to stock, selling your mods and trading in your car for a M6 car.

just cant find anyone wanting to trade bc its an 04 and auto...only has 60k miles on it

+1.. sell the ride and get a new one..Don't F around with changing it over..I had a 99 Ta auto..It pissed me off everytime I got in it .. Had the patience to sell it..Took all of a week,and a week later I had my 05 Yellow Jacket 6 spd! Couldn't be happier and no screwing around..

Do what you can to get another car..Just don't smurf around trying to change it to a 6spd..
