Default Bought poly motor mounts used...need positioning help

Hey guys. I got some motor mounts used already installed in the clamshells and I ran into kind of a dilema. The center metal part of the mount where the bolt passes through is long on one end and short on the other. Well every way I try to position these with the notches facing up, one side will be long and the other will be short on oposite ends. I can't get them to both face one way, and have the same length of that inner metal piece equal on both sides. Check out the pics and you'll see what I mean. Do I have to undo one of them and flip the insert around? Are they installed wrong?

See, in the pics, the longer center part on the mount is sticking out on the pass side of the engine while the shorter part is on the drivers side. I never knew motor mounts could be so confusing!!!

The notches are up on both sides but the center part of the motor mount that the bolt goes through is sticking out of the poly mount way more on the pass side. Do I need to flip it around inside the clamshell to even them out?

So the long part of the middle piece faces the rear on yours. Got an installed pic of the other side by any chance?

I'm not talking about the notches themselves, I mean the entire metal middle section. one side sticks out more than the other.

I posted too quick! So yours are just like mine then. It's long on the front of one side and short on the front of the other side. I guess thats how the center part is supposed to be.

I was just reviewing some pictures of my install and sure enough, that entire metal piece you're talking about juts out farther on one side and shorter on the other. You're good to go. If it WERE a problem, though, I don't think you'd be able to fix it, you'd have to return it as a defect and exchange it.
