Street Racing & Kill Stories - Popped my cherry!

Bought my 99 z28 convert two weeks ago. It came with a flowmaster cat back as the only mod. Have since installed a lid and ssra air intake. Hampered by the 2.73 gears but the 3.73's are going in the first of July. Anyway, on the way home from Woodward last night a newer Mustang convert stopped at a light next to me. Didn't know if he wanted to go so I let him make the first move. He left, I nailed it. He started out a car ahead and I caught him and passed him by 2 cars or so. He had a manual trans and was actually hitting gears pretty well. Best part was that the road narrowed down to 2 lanes and he had to fall in behind me. As luck would have it, he had to follow me for about 5 miles. Looked like he had a wife/gf with him. Bet he didn't get any last night. LOL. I'm an old school guy, just got out of Mopars. Work for GM and have wanted an LS car for a while.

Good kill. Won't be your last Mustang kill, either! First mods should be headers IMO: wakes it up better than gears. They also love big cams!

i was actually cruising along woodward last night too between 12 and 16 mile, buncha mustangs but didnt catch a light with anything except for a '10 SS and later a POS talon

Headers - Gears - Stickys - Converter in that order would be sick!
