Need help picking T/C for my application...
I've done plenty of searching to try and find what I'm looking for, but I'm having difficulties. I'm getting a stall for my TA sometime in the next 2 months, and I don't know which kind to get. I've noticed that most of the people in here get ones for drag racing only, which is the problem. I'm planning on doing a lot of auto-x too. So basically it's going to do everything, a daily driver built for drag/auto-x.
As far as the car, it has 3.23's, lightly modded at the moment (going to be stroked down the road)
I'm hoping this is enough info. Oh, and as far as the brand, it doesn't matter, I just want what's best for DD, drag, and Auto-x. If it matters, I'm leaning more towards Auto-X than Drag Racing. Thanks guys

Get atleast a 3500. Since you have a daily driver i would go with a 4000. Yanks has some great converters in that range. Its not as extream as you might think. My tci 3500 is perfect for everyday driving.

I hear converters make you lose a lot up top. Is this true for all or just some? I'm sure it would be best in my case to get a more efficient one so there's not as much loss up top. Any out there?

im really not sure whats best for autox...ive done it a couple of times and id assume anything over 3000 would blow the tires away at wot as well as create alot of excess tranny heat during a run...i have a 3500 and its not bad around town even with my 273 gears and im sure it would be great at the track with some sticky tires...but id think id have to baby the crap out of it on an autox course just by the feel of mine. Bottome line i dont really know the anwser i dont think there is really much of a happy medium without compromise on both sides of the coin...i think a 2800-3000 stall would be that compromise.
