please help!!! im trying to get the crankshaft pulley off!!! Just as the title says I need help on getting the pulley off because Im replacing it but the bolts arent budging! So if anyone wants to come help me out by tomorrow shoot me a PM!!!!

Are you using a puller? If not get one.
I believe on the auto cars you have to put something in the flywheel for it won't turn. On man. Cars you put them in 3rd or 2nd....
It's not that bad just take your time

what bolts...there is only one bolt.
put the socket on a breaker bar put it on the bolt so that the breaker bar is on the ground....bump the key(may want to unplug fuse for the fuel) problem solved.

doesnt the belt turn to the passenger side? I cant remember. Your right its not safe at all, but often people attempt things and dont have the right tools. But since its an Auto, just put the shifter into 2nd and that should work.

Go get a good impact its worth the saved time and hassle not to mention the bloody knuckles. Getting the pulley off was more of a challenge for me even with the impact. For that I threaded the crank bolt back in til it was about an 1/8 from the face of the pulley and gave her on the puller with the impact til she started moving then backed the crank bolt out a little bit and went some more til the crank bolt was about half way out then I switched over to a bolt (I used an old fender bolt) that would just fit in the in the hole and went the rest of the way off. Hope this helps

auto all gears but park are neutral without the car running...they need fluid pressure to work...auto youll have to hold the flywheel or use an impact...snap on titan. never has a problem

I vote impact for something like that also. HF has an electric one that you could try. (never used it , but a cheap way to get one in your arsenal of tools.) I beleive it plugs into an outlet vs battery. Just look at maxiumum ratings between impact guns, and use impact sockets of course.
I found out how useful impact wrenches were after trying to get off my strut/ mount nuts that were rusted on for 13yrs.

Impact is the way to go to get the bolt out. Then, a cheapy pulley puller from Advanced Auto works great. If you end up in the New Orleans area, just bring it to me, and I'll take care of it for you.

I was thinking about getting an impact gun, but never knew how much they cost, plus Im only going to need it for this one time (unless there was a way I could return it). And bluethunder2 Im in houston at the moment but thanks for the offer.

If you work on cars much you will use an impact enough to justify the purchase. I paid $300 for my IR 2135ti bout 4yrs ago. But I'm a mechanic I don't think you'll need anything that expensive (but it is nice made a lot more than that back) you would prolly be ok getting something from harbor freight for less than $100.

3 bolts are the LT1 cars. You should be able to pull the dust cover off of the tranny by the oil pan and get something to stick in the flex plate. If it is an LT1 car, the three bolts on the balancer come out. Make sure that the bolt you are trying to get off are at the lowest point. Put a wratchet on it and get some pipe as a breaker bar. Once you get them out, tap the balancer with a hammer to get the actual balancer off. Then you still have the hub.
