Default Calculator Accuracy

I found this gear calculator and am wondering how accurate it really is:
http://wallaceracing.com/calcrgr.php

I just ran the car last night and I entered my numbers but the gear ratio it gave me was off. It tells me that I'm running a 4.28 when I'm actually running a 3.73.

Anyway, my real question is this:

What is the tallest gear I can get away with? Streetability is not an issue.

I just ran the car lastnight and hit the finish line at 5800 rpm's at 113 mph. I'm running 373's on a Moser 12-Bolt and 28" rear tires, 4000 Yank converter, built 4L60e and NOT locking up the converter at top end but I will be doing so with the new gears. I'm thinking 456.
