I wish it did it's own. That bitch takes close to 10qts of Mobile 1 0W-40... You have to drain the oil from the turbos, from the "center section" and then the dry sump... Longest Oil Change ever...
Then the oil filter is a fun one too... No matter how softly you put it on when it comes to take it off it's like the incredible hulk put it on...
Which reminds me... It's probably time to do it again...

me and my dad with a turbo swap on one of his detriot 60 series block (16.4L) block it had a standard 109 MM turbo i think and we swapped it out to a cummins 120mm turbo kicked up the boost from 42 lbs to high 50's lots of fun!
got both rear ends to start burning out ( not big and smoky.. but got the frieght trialer to spin a bit on the first gears) too badthe 3rd piston didnt hold up for long
=/

You never have to do an oil change on an LS1. They just 'consume' it all and you end up replacing most of it before you reach 3k miles. My vette was the only car I ever constantly checked the oil levels on. One drive to the corner store and you use half a tank, of oil.
