Default Slave cylinder question

I am about to install my slave cylinder, but wanted to make sure it was okay to put back in with the little plastic tie piece broken or should I try to go somewhere to get that fixed and if so where would be the best place to do that.

also, how tightly does the slave cylinder secure into the master cylinder, I can pull out the slave cylinder hose very easily out of the master cylinder, should it be kind of hard to pull out (pretty secure?)

thanks and I know I need to clean it up before putting it back in.

there should be a roll pin securing the line, and that strap just helps ease install. You dont need to fix it.

thanks man, i appreciate that. do you know where I can find a picture of what the end should look like going into the master cylinder as well as what that end on the master cylinder looks like? tried to find it on shbox's site.

my end of the slave cylinder hose looks like the following and the master cylinder is just the opening with the o-ring inside, that is it.

It just plugs into the master, and there is a small roll pin that secures it.

So I don't have the roll pin on the master side, I think it was yankef out when I dropped the motor since I didn't disconnect it, didn't see it. I am at work so I can't look at the master end but all I saw was a hole with an o ring there. Do you think I can just pop in another roll pin? Is there threading in there? I will check an maybe get a pic tomorrow when I get off work.

Thanks
