Default Squealing above 2k RPMs

Once the car warms up it develops an annoying squeal when the rpms are above 2k. Below that its either intermittent or non existent. Ive done my fair share of reading and will be regreasing the idler pulleys, but I thought Id see if anyone had any other ideas? BTW I can rule out the AC compressor, as the previous owner cut the belt.

Some have good luck regreasing the pulleys, some don't...YMMV. Was it me, I'd just replace them, but if the greasing works, you made out. Either way, you're on the right path.

Run the car without the belt and see if it goes away.

For anyone wondering it turned out to be the idler pulley on the main belt. I removed it, opened it up and found the insides cooked. I decided to just go ahead and replace it. The most time consuming step was trying to find the correct idler pulley.
