Default 3.73 vs. 3.90 in A4

debating on the two gears...i talked to jaws gear and they said at 115 my car would be turning 6100 rpm with 3.73s and 6300 rpm with 3.90s....it will be a full bolt on car with an ss4000 and only weighs about 3200 right now and plan is to go super light with it...then eventually a cam....any comments are appriciated ! thanks

Well w/ either gear all u have to do is change your tire's height and it will change your RPM.

Then 3:73's would be my choice and 11.50's should be no problem w/ a good 60ft.I am going to try for 11.50's this fall w/out taking anything out of the car but will do a lite weight battery,K-member and M/T ET Street radials. It should be close.

I loved my 3.90s in my 10 bolt (A4) and with 275/40/17 Mt drags I was able to hit 1.63 all day long.

man i would absolutly love some 11.50 passes, the car went 12.6 and it will have added
-ls6 intake
-ram air
-UD pully
-built tranny, ss4000
-3.23 to 3.73
-slp lid to FTP 98
-ported MAF to 85 MAF
-Jet tune to Dynotune
- !50lbs

my plan after i run that combo going on now is to just make it super light ! with k-member, pin on hood, ect...i would love to see sub 11.50s in it its a good motor only has 30,000 babied miles i bought it with the origional tires on it at 28,000..

for reference here,4.56s'
rpm read off a ScanGaugeII and mph off the ScanGaugeII after it was adjusted with some mile marker/stopwatch runs.

2500 rpm @ 60 mph
3000 rpm @ 72 mph
